5 Fun things To Do In Chicago.

You may have reached your limit with spending this month so here are some free or cheap things to do in Chicago this week.

1. Art on theMART

The Art on theMART is the largest digital art display in the world, and it's right here in Chicago. The program includes The Nutcracker by The Joffrey Ballet and more.

The 30-minute show starts at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The best place to watch is on the Chicago Riverwalk or Wacker Drive between Wells Street and Franklin Street. While tickets are not required to attend, all visitors must comply with social distancing regulations and wear face coverings. Attendance is limited to 100 on the Riverwalk Jetty.



2. ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo

Stroll through the beautiful light display and outdoor animal exhibits at Lincoln Park Zoo. There is a $5 cost for admission. The next free day is Dec 29th. Free tickets will be available the Sunday before 12/27/2020 at 4 pm. HURRY! Tickets sell out fast!

3. Ice skating at Maggie Daley Park

Maggie Daley Park skating ribbon swerves through the park. Skaters have plenty of space to social distance while skating. Admission is $5 with your own skates, and skate rentals are available starting at $16.



4. Chicago Christmas Tree

Check out the City of Chicago Christmas Tree at Millennium Park all December long. Go when it's dark to take in the beautiful 45-foot tree with twinkling lights.



5. Listen to A Christmas Carol free holiday show

Chicago’s local theatres are carrying on with their annual holiday productions. The Goodman Theatre is offering a free audio stream of A Christmas Carol. Grab your loved ones, and listen to Chicago’s favorite holiday tradition for more than 43 years.
